I am looking for images that capture my pessimism and the sense of despondency that often arises within me. Primarily, the climate crisis (though by no means exclusively) runs as a diffuse, ongoing process and is particularly felt around the turn of the year. The collapse of world order manifests itself in extreme weather. One image that has stayed with me in this regard is that of a falling body, suspended somewhere between the moment of jumping—when solid ground is lost beneath one's feet—and the impact.
